• I am a homeless mother with 28 yr daughter living in the streets ... we need some financial assistance or shelter. Salvation Army is full to capacity. My daughter and I need healthy food to eat. The food they serve out here create onset diabetis.. its mostly starch, sugar (pastries & coffee) bread, no vegetables. I am of the HOMELESS OVERFLOW Women who sleep in the streets. We are only offered shelter at 32 or below BUT IT SO VERY FREEZING COLD AT 40 or below. I really think they are not reporting the correct temperature, our toes, fingers go numb. Please help my daughter and I, with a HEB GROCERY CARD or $$$. I do not smoke, drink or cuss, definitely no drugs, people out here know us to be a loving mother/daughter relationship going through very hard times. We are very close to getting back up as a working citizen, we just need a little help, help that we cant easily find, "healthy food" to keep us strong out here until we can connect back to society (meaning getting that first pay check) My daughter got a job with the city health department through a temp agency "The Sedona Group" but they put the job on hold until further notice... she has a badge to prove it. I was called to work several times but both jobs were not on a bus route, great jobs like IE Discoveries,13640 Briarwick Dr, #250 and National Insurance 1250 Capital of TX Hwy. These are the sincerely truthfully problems that keep us from getting out of homelessness. We did get in contact with a lady Barbara that has additional housing for homeless women but at that time I thought my daughters job was steady and her starting hours were 6:30 am and she had to make the 5:35 am #5 bus downtown to make it ontime for her job. The house they were going to place us in did not have a bus route with an early enough time to connect to the #5 transfer. So we had to turn down the housing offer. And then the bomb meaning "the job on hold until further notice" and now her boss is telling everyone there is no bad news as far as the job going dead, so my daughter and I hang tight, waiting for them to work out computer glitches ??? - its a major two year project with the city to Health Dept to get all birth and death certificates scanned and documented into a computer system. PLEASE HELP - ITS SCARY, COLD COLD AND HUNGRY HUNGRY FOR HEALTHY FOOD (We get food poisoning with the food out here - it seems people don't really love the homeless, many people vomit from the food - it hurts and takes a couple of days for the stomache to recoupe). There is a Ministry outreach called Mobile Fishes and Loaves and many people, mostly homeless men use this for evening meal and they do whatever to ensure A SPOT IN LINE. People are now putting there backpacks in a line representing themselves, (even a stick or a stone), so you can always expect a line and then there are the 10 plus line cutters who just merge in when the truck pulls up. Its a real AGGRESSIVE SITUATION. So what may appear to be a chance to be close in line is never really determined until the truck pulls up and its never as you see at the moment. If you can help us it would be greatly appreciated, it will help us tremendously .... God Will Bless You if you do .... because we are part of the least of these in the bible... and we are like the man who could not make it to the waters to get his healing because we were not fast enough (in this case not agressive enough) We can go and pick up any help or pull top food such as fruit cocktail or v8 juice. • I got a job. A friend of mine has a heart problem and depression. She would draw closer to Jesus by deeper prayer and meditation. She has recently committed to doing missionary work; God would bless her work as she lead others to Jesus. A friend of mine has gone into rehab for drugs. A bible contact has mental illness; God would heal him. Salvation for all those we have come into contact with. Thanks for your prayers
